SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Wofford College football team reported to campus on Thursday, August 5. After a day of move-in and meetings, they will take the field for the first practice on Friday, August 6.
Overall, a total of 111 players reported to campus. The team is returning a total of 19 starters from the 2020-21 spring season. This includes six offensive starters, ten defensive starters and three returning specialists. An additional ten players who started games in the spring also return. There are 43 newcomers to the team.
Practice will be held on the practice fields or Gibbs Stadium until the end of Carolina Panther training camp. All practices are open to the public; however, keep in mind that the schedule can change without notice. Due to social distancing measures, only Tier I individuals are allowed on the field.
The Terriers will open the 2021 season on Saturday, September 4 at Elon. The home slate begins on Saturday, September 18 against Kennesaw State. Season tickets are still available by calling the Wofford Ticket Office at 864-597-4090.
