Five Star Car Hire

Driver showed up at Heathrow on time. My confirmed reservation was for 4 adults and 4 suitcases but the driver showed up in a PRIUS! We all crammed in for a stop off to Windsor. They stored our luggage in their office on the 3rd floor of a run down seedy building. A big plus is that they did store our luggage safely. We requested a bigger car for Windsor to London leg. They said it would cost us more £. We told them the bigger car was in our confirmed reservation. Tho late picking us up at Windsor, they did come in a bigger vehicle. Then the driver told us the address he was expecting to take us to in London. It was slightly off. He said "W Ave". I said "No, W Square." He argued with me and said "Oh that's in a congested part of London and will cost more £." I said "I submitted the correct address. It's all here in my email confirmation." He said, "You will have to talk to my boss at the office." The guy at the office called and said my info was not correct. I had already read some of the reviews about this company and had printed hard copies of my email correspondence and confirmation. After resending my confirmation emails back to him I told him I could take photos of my hard copies and send those also. He backed off. When the driver dropped us off in London, he asked for more £. My son absolutely refused. Luckily the driver was double parked and had to drive away quickly. He said I would have to deal with the office but I never heard back from them. Be careful of this company. If you use them, be prepared.

Booked taxi online from Windsor to Ascot return. Was given contract for £20 plus £21 for the 2 trips. Driver on time and the car smart & clean. Partway through the trip the driver said that we needed to pay for both journey's up front. We were ok with that and handed over £40, then he said it was £40 each way. I said I had a contract for £41 so he phoned his boss and let me speak to him. Explained that I had an email confirming a different price, his attitude was that original price was a mistake, that he hadn't increased the prices and everyone had to pay the same. He said he didn't have time for this and if we didn't like it we could get out of the car and find another way to get there. TBF due to horrendous traffic the trip took 3x the time it should have so I didn't disagree with the higher price. It was his attitude and approach to customer service that was appalling. we paid anyway as we had no choice but will never us this company again.

Used this car service during a 7 hour layover in Heathrow. Picked us up on time from terminal 5 and was a quick, 15 minute, drive to Windsor. Driver was friendly and informative, gave us a quick rundown on the town and told us the best place to be for pickup.
Pickup was right on time as well and we got dropped up right at the terminal we needed. Only issue was the driver didn't have enough change, so bring some small coins.
