From the ghetto of Buckinghamshire, too. Regrettably, he'll probably be quite entertaining for a while, until the constant exposure means he has to drop the act for a while and reveal himself to be a nice middle class boy pretending to be one of his heroes

This wasn't one of the best opening nights I thought - no huuuuge suprises, most of the people who went in had been rumoured anyway. I agree that Jo seems nicest so far. That WAG girl just seems young and shy and a bit dumb. The bollywood woman is beautiful, but I think will turn out pretty spoiled? I loved the way Leo Sayer knew Donny Tourette, and said "oh yes, a Buckinghamshire boy" or something.

I agree that it's likely to be Jade and family (her Mum's pretty scarey) coming in later on.

Hurrah - the freak show begins!

Jermaine Jackson - confused/terrified
Danielle Lloyd - quite thick
Ken Russel - rather mad
Jo O`Meara - seems very nice
Leo Sayer - deluded/irritating
Shilpa Shetty - ambitious
Carol Malone - vile parasite
Donny Tourette - twat/fake
Ian H Watkins - bearable
Cleo Rocos - bouncy/likeable
Dirk Benedict - not Mr T

I'm loving it already!

1996 Spice Girls - 2 Become 1
1997 Spice Girls - Too Much

Drippy Christmas ballads of no discernable musical merit:

additionally, it is ridiculous for someone to win a contest then release a christmas song. it has no longetivity, especially if it turns out to be their only hit.

But none of them have any longevity - it's always their only hit! This is what I'm complaining about. If they released some half decent stuff and actually had a career, I wouldn't begrudge them the Xmas #1 so much.

Not my cup of tea obviously but at least Leona has a modicum of talent and a chance of a successful career. It's all down to a) how cynically she is managed and b) whether she actually wants it enough. She strikes me as being probably too wet to survive.

*wishes he had a link to prove it*

simon cowell, louis walsh, sharon osbourne - total, TOTAL cunts who know the price of everything but the value of nothing. vile, smug, egotistical parasites without an ounce of musical talent between them.

Girls Aloud had erm..."balls" and attitude from the start - plus their managment had the foresight to turn the relationship with Xenomania into an ongoing thing. Like it or not, this has resulted in them having produced some quality stuff (in pop terms) over the last 3 years. I somehow doubt that Leona will be allowed to go down such an "edgy" road and unless she gets a break in the US she is doomed to a short chart career.

One final thing on this - yes Leona's video was exactly the same as the Kelly Clarkson version but, given that for the business year 2005-2006 Clarkson was the biggest selling artist of any kind in the entire bloody world, you can see where they are going with it.

The difference is, of course, that Clarkson has a little smidgeon of punk rock about her.

Not having heard of one of the list before before I did a search.....

Danielle Lloyd was born on December 16th, 1983 at Liverpool in England. Her claims to fame include being the girlfriend of footballer Teddy Sheringham, posing nude in Playboy, winning the title of Miss England, then the more prestigious one of Miss Great Britain only to be stripped of it, and perhaps most famously she credited Winston Churchill as being the first black president of America. This gem of a faux pax occurred when she was participating in Test the Nation on BBC One. Apparently what fueled this amazing notion in her head was the fact that there is a black statue of Churchill near her house.

Published by Jude 1 (not active) at 12:41pm on Thu 11th January 2007.

I think it's the Mirror. She does come across quite well, really - maybe a bit pushy with her questions sometimes, but she is a hack after all.

Does anyone think Jade's hissy-fit (sorry, tearful outburst) at her mum's departure last night was a bit OTT?

Published by Old Rocker at 12:54pm on Thu 11th January 2007.

I think Jade (and her Mum too, although I think there are probably some mental health issues there too) is kind of like an overgrown kid in lots of ways. So when she's upset about something she'll sob and sob like a child would, and when she thinks something she'll just blurt it out whether or not it makes sense or is an appropriate thing to say. That said, she's changed quite a lot since she was in the original BB - she's obviously had, like, media training or somesuch. Overall she's really reasonably likeable, I think.

Her boyfriend is personality-free though. Has he even spoken yet?

I think in terms of "who would I be able to tolerate and who would I want to bludgeon to death" if I was in the house, the 'tolerate' list would be - Jo, Cleo, Carole. Published by katemac at 4:45pm on Fri 12th January 2007.

From Digital Spy...

Leo, who was up for eviction tonight against Dirk and Carole, has walked off Celebrity Big Brother.

Leo, having been refused a supply of clean underpants by Big Brother, started beating a two-way mirror before grabbing a broom, prising a wall open, and making his escape. The incident was not shown on E4 or the internet live feed.

It is understood that Leo's actions provoked crisis talks among show producers. There was some confusion between 2pm and 2:30pm as to the status of the voting lines; for a short time, voting was suspended but Channel 4 reinstated the voting lines for Carole and Dirk shortly before 2:30pm.

In a short statement, Channel 4 said: "Big Brother can confirm that Leo has left the Celebrity Big Brother house.

"The housemates have been told that he will not be returning to the house.

"Leo's voting line has now been closed.

"Viewers can still vote to evict either Dirk or Carol [sic] in tonight's show."

Published by bigmal at 1:34am on Tue 16th January 2007.

i saw one the other night and tonight where there did seem to be ignorance related racism related towards shilpa.
The young british women in there are a complete embarrassment to the rest of us.....Cleo seems wicked and though she is trying to be diplomatic I don't want to start thinking of her as spineless for not pointing out that there is a lot to be learnt and to share with a woman from a different culture, especially such a rich one (i don't mean financially for any other jades/danielles out there!) and as a woman it would be enriching to engage with her. I have a short patience for people who are too nicey nicey and just hug everyone. You can say it how it is without being offensive. I do like her very much though - she ouzes a beautiful soul.
I would like to see a young woman in the house from a working class background prove that they too can be engaging, interested in diversity, open minded and able to converse on a higher level.....do you really have to be self-obsessed to go on the show and purely to aid a failing career? surely there are those that tackle it as an interesting behavioural experiment and a bit of a larf..........barf. does anyone know cleo's reason for going in ?

Published by hfmcvey at 2:12am on Tue 16th January 2007.

Yeah, sadly Cleo is going down in my estimation... I can see why she wouldn't want to get involved in any conflict as it must be so intense in there, but to sit there listening to Jade spouting all that utter shite and then just come out with "But... we're all nice people in here..." No they're fucking not, woman!! Ugh.

Published by katemac at 9:03am on Tue 16th January 2007.

I totally agree with you hfmcvey, i watched BB last night and was totally enraged at Jades treatment of Shilpa -she is an ignorant, half-witted, self-righteous, racist embarasment to Britian. Poor Shilpa she does not deserve to be bullied by a bunch of half-wits, she is out numbered. She is by far the nicest one of the bunch, i like her alot. It was awful to see her in tears, ii wish i could explain to her that she has nothing wrong with her - its the halfwits who are the problem. I wish someone would escort jade out of the building, in one way or another she is the reason this house is the most misrable yet

Published by Annabanana at 11:45am on Tue 16th January 2007.

The one plus point to all this is that the pig is doing a lot of damage to her "image" and her management must be tearing their hair out. I would also hope that Teddy Sheringham will realise what an odious and stupid little girl he has got involved with and dump her immediately - then again, he probably likes them a bit thick.

Published by Dr Rhythm at 1:06pm on Tue 16th January 2007.

I think it's completely vile, spiteful bullying behaviour, but is it definitely racist? I didn't see anything that seemed specificially racist on last night's coverage, just mean and excluding and very "bitchy girls at school"-ish.

Someone came on my other messageboard with a link to a petition and encouraging people to complain...

Published by katemac at 1:25pm on Tue 16th January 2007.

i think its more sheer ignorance rather than meaningful racism - they're not bright enough to be racist for specific reasons - more like taking the piss out out shilpa's accent and her indian cooking, jades mum referring to her as 'the indian' and not putting any effort in to pronounce her name correctly - I did hear jackie get her name right in the beginning but then she just couldn't be arsed after that - which is insulting to anyone of any race. Jade probably thinks india is in west ham anyway.

I think what they are doing here is using Shilpa to bond with each other. When certain people don't know each other very well, they can often use somebody else as a subject, negatively or positively as a conversation point and to establish a relationship. They can really start analysing that outside person without doing it to themselves and gage whether each other will become an friend or foe. Once that is in place, that subject will be used a lot, when the two or more people feel they need to be reassured by their new bond, for example: if they start to enquire about themseleves and each other but feel an uncomfortableness or a clash, they can go back to talking about shilpa which can reaffirm that they are a unit.

When they are slagging shilpa off its actually more about trying to get in with who the are slagging her off too - i think this is especially true of Danielle - she is the one who is most needy in terms of needing to be accepted - and this is her way of doing it. It's all very monkey like and proves that many people haven't really evolved that well.

I have had people try to get to know me by slagging someone else off, offering me a insecure hand of friendship at the same time, and I won't be any part of it. I see straight through it and would rather eat me own spew.
but hey - what do i know.

I hope the viewers see this trio of bitches for what they are, and votes them out - and then that the country has a collective guilt trip about the treatment of "the Indian". Unfortunately I suspect that many of the voting public are as bigoted as Jade, Danielle and Jo.

I'm not 100% sure the abuse last was racist as such - but I'm convinced that the motives behind it were racist. I hope they are ashamed of themselves.

I found it very hard to take watching Jade giving Shilpa a piece of her mind about how fake shilpa is, how her chicken was raw blah blah and at the same time self-congratualing herself for being so 'straight forward' Redusing poor Shilpa finally to tears, then Jade hugging her (i mean how 'fake' is that) and then fucking off as if to say 'good i ve got what i wanted i brought her down' Jade is a very nasty piece of work, she makes my skin crawl.

I think there is a nasty undercurrent of racism, but it's more to do with female jealousy and insecurity. I doubt she'd be getting so much stick if she were plain or chubby.

She basically dreamt of what her and her mum had done to shilpa was happening to her .......and after explaining it all very badly then said, "what a strange dream - how random' was that?"

Remember in BB4 when Cameron was swapped with the South African house.

Why not swap Jade, Jo and Danielle with the BB India house. They have just started Big Brother over there.

I think Jade would take offence to an English Shilpa - there is a clash cos you have two people who have CUS (centre of the universe syndrome!!)... an explosive clash cos Jade and Shilpa are both strong characters.
I think the racist remarks are just another thing to throw at Shilpa - it is worrying how it is perceived by the Indian public and the potential opinions that could be formed about the English persona because of the Jade factor.
But bullying is bullying - it should always be taken seriously and not only when the racist card is thrown in.

I think the thing that has been missed when people make the comment that it's a mirror to british society is that 20 000 people have complained about this. If we were such a racist country there wouldn't be the outcry. There's the argument that it's people's guilt for their own racism that makes them complain, but if you go down that road it's a no win situation...

I heard this morning on the news that an Indian official (I forget who exactly) stated that it wouldn't affect diplomatic relations between India and the UK. Also bear in mind that whilst 27,000 have now complained, this is less than 1% than the number of viewers BB has.*

*I based this on a figure of 3 million as it was around this mark before it all kicked off. I wonder how many of those who complained had actually even watched it! I think this whole thing demonstrates much more than how racist some people are.

I agree with you, katemac, that maybe it's overblown to suggest that the 'vast majority' of the population have this opinion. But I have to admit part of the reason that I left my Northern town in Lancs is to get away from the stifling, fixed attitudes about things, particularly to get away from racist views that I encountered plenty of growing up there - racist views towards 'Pakis' (Indian, Bangladeshi and Pakistani communities). Just think of the incidents that have occurred in Oldham and Burnley.
If my eighteen years of experince is anything to go by, I have no doubt that the majority of people living in my home county do refer to Shilpa as that 'Paki bird'. Horrible.

I do not believe that this would be a true statement to sum up the vast majority of 'couch potatoes' in Cambridge and this is part of the reason that I am happier living here.

I agree it is a very large number, and possibly the largest that ofcom has received, but I think the reasons for this are more complex than purely what's happened on BB. I complained to ofcom a few years ago about a program called Dumb Foreigners (ITV 26 June 2004) and that received only 129 complaints but to me, this is far more 'racist' that what has occured on BB.

This is most definitely racist bullying. Until last night's show I thought it was just bullying with a slight undercurrent of racism but after Jade referring to Shilpa as "Shilpa Fuckawalla, Shilpa Daroopa, Shilpa Poppadom" I think it's fair to say she's crossed a line.

Channel 4 made a massive deal yesterday of the fact that Shilpa had said "I don't think what she said to me was racist", they sent out preview tapes to every newspaper, TV and radio programme to 'prove' that even the victim did not think it was racist. I'm sure, on reflection, Shilpa didn't think that WHAT WAS SAID TO HER was racist, but I'm pretty sure if she had been party what has been said ABOUT HER, behind her back, then I'm pretty sure she would find see that it was absolutely racist.

Jade said in the diary room that she promised that what she said was not said in a racial way. Well, then that makes it all ok then, right? How the hell else was it if it wasn't racist?

Danielle has shown herself up to be nothing more than a lying, two-faced bitch.

Regardless of anything else, any other angle, the fact that should be highlighted by this whole debacle is that BULLYING, IN ANY FORM, IS WRONG. This, sadly, has been overlooked because of the racism angle. I am appalled by racism, but I am equally appalled by the bullying that has been shown on this programme. How ironic that Jade has been dropped as the face of an anti-bullying campaign.

I'm not wholely convinced that channel 4 won't fix the votes tonight so that Shilpa goes. That way they can use the "it can't have been that bad because she still got voted out" angle. Just a thought.

I have only watched Wednesday and Thursday's shows in full and I have to say I have nevere been so ashamed to be a british woman in my life!

Did anyone else think that the conversation shown at the end of last night's coverage between Jade / Danielle / Jo seemed very staged? I think they'd had a "quiet word" given to them by the Producers and were told they had to have a conversation that said "Oh no, we are not racists, it is just class differences" or whatever. It seemed a bit deliberate to me, as did Shilpa saying, in the diary room, that she retracted her earlier comments about racism.

I think Jade will DEFINITELY go tonight. I'll be furious if she doesn't.

Published by Jude 1 (not active) at 10:08am on Fri 19th January 2007.

I'm actually quite shocked at Channel 4's way of dealing with this. I thought far better of them. On reflection i think people (and i think i've made this mistake) have been quick to say 'jade's dad is black, so she can't be racist'. Jamaican, Chinese, English, American, Asian, whatever, everyone can be racist. It's about picking on someone for being of a different race. If Jade's dad was Indian, i wonder if Jade would have made the comments?

I hope i made some kind of sense...

I have just read that Bradley from S Club 7 has commented that Jo was bullied so badly at school that she contemplated suicide. This just makes me loathe her more. Apparently Jade was bullied for being mixed race.

Do these girls honestly not see that what they are doing amounts to bullying? If they have been victims of it themselves, especially, to the point of contempleting suicide, surely they can't think that they're going to walk out of that house and say "oh, i didn't mean it in a bullying way" and expect to be taken seriously.

Makes me so angry.

The anti-bullying campaign that Jade has supposedly been dropped from have put a statement on their website in big red letters saying that Jade Goody has never been involved in their charity in any way and they have condemned her behaviour (the founder's daughter was bullied in the same group way). If anti-bullying charities are taking steps to ensure that these pathetic bitches are in no way connected with their organisation, surely that proves that they are just bullies.

I hope they are all ripped apart once they're evicted. I hope the media crucifies all three of them.

I really think people are getting quite hysterical about all this. It's really nothing worse - in the bullying sense - than what's go on on BB before. Look at the way Pete Burns talked to the American baywatch woman last year. He was vicious and took great pleasure in reducing her to tears. This sort of shit goes on all the time. It's hardly a new phenomenon. I'm not saying that it's alright in any shape or form, but a bit of perspective is needed in my view.

LOL @ The Friday Thing

The ugly scenes and quasi-racist comments prompted TFT to offer some advice to those involved in the controversy...

1) If you're a minor celebrity, use 'Celebrity Big Brother' as an opportunity to win new fans. Do this by behaving like the sort of mental chav bird who glasses complete strangers in nightclubs after 25 Smirnoff Ices.

2) And you might want to appear even more likeable by screaming at an attractive, polite and articulate woman during an unfathomable argument about Oxo cubes.

3) If, like housemate Jo, you have a limited understanding of other cultures, do take the opportunity of meeting an Indian woman to ask questions about their country, e.g., 'Are Indian people thin because they don't cook food properly?' While you're at it, you might want to find out whether all black people are criminals, if 'Oriental' women have crooked vaginas, and whether all Jews have great big noses and run gangs of child pickpockets.

4) If you're in charge of a deliberately controversial and 'edgy' TV channel, justify broadcasting the racist rambles of a group of imbeciles by claiming you've exposed the latent racism of British society. Take this idea to its logical conclusion with an unedited, hour-long nightly show in which members of Combat 18 expound their racial theories and broadcast the home addresses and phone numbers of members of The Anti Nazi League.

5) And if you're a government minister, a humble MP or just an ordinary Indian citizen with a bit too much time on your hands, be sure to immediately overreact to some fuckwits on a reality TV show as though it's the Cuban Missile Crisis. Who knows, you might even get on TV!

Some classics from Jade...

Jade asks Spencer if he punts boats on the River Thames.
Spencer: "No, I work in Cambridge."
Jade: "I know I'm from Bermondsey and I know that's London, but where is Cambridge?"
Spencer: "It's in East Anglia."
Jade: "Where's East Angular [sic] though? I thought that was abroad."

"The Union Jack is for all of us, but the St George is just for London, isn't it?"

"I knew Lynne was from Aberdeen but I didn't realise Aberdeen was in Scotland."

"What's asparagus? Do you grow it?"

"I am intelligent, but I let myself down because I can't speak properly or spell."

To Jonny when the others were complaining about him while he was lying in bed: "You'll interiate." (As opposed to "deteriorate".)

To PJ after he revealed he knew someone who kept pet peacocks: "You see those things... don't think I'm being daft... but them things that look like eyes, are they their real eyes?"
Jade picks up a photo of PJ on holiday by the sea.
Jade: "Is that where you live?"
PJ: "Yeah, Birmingham seaside."
Jade: "Have they not got seasides in Birmingham?"

"Jonny, I'm not being tictactical in here"

Tim suggested Jade move to the US, to which she replied: "They do speak English there don't they?"

"It's Mona Lisa who's symmetrical, innit?"

When asked by Big Brother to name two vegetables in the garden: "Strawberries and spuds".

"Rio de Janeiro, ain't that a person?"

"They were trying to use me as an escape goat."

"Do they speak Portuganese in Portugal? I thought Portugal was in Spain."

On the final day, in the garden: "Are they really filming us out here? I look like a state."

My favourite is the 'escape goat' *sniggers*

a mate sent me this and i like it so much i'm posting it here:

There's a plexiglass tunnel linking the BB house to the studio where the interview will take place. Jade will be wearing her radio mike and that is the only source of sound available to us. An unseen cameraman will follow her but will not speak. She will say "Oooh, dis a bit diffrent innit?" and step out into the tunnel. Further inanities will be offered as we follow her along it. There is no crowd to be seen through the tunnel walls - just a long row of police officers in full riot gear. A very distant sound of booing and screeching.

Jade will say "Wos appnin? Wah dun't thay lark may? I nevah dun nuffin wrong! Dis is paffetick!"

She will reach the end of the tunnel and emerge into the studio. No audience, just Davina standing there. Jade will face Davina. An eternity will seem to pass. Then Davina will slap Jade hard in the face.

"You nearly lost me my job, bitch."

Davina turns to face the camera and tries to start the next link. But Jade jumps on her back and tries to strangle her. Davina responds with several hard blows to the side of Jade's head, causing her ear to bleed. Two security people rush in with tasers and try to zap Jade, but she overpowers them, kicks one in the nuts and runs back into the tunnel. The cameraman runs in after her. We see her running back toward the house and hear the cameraman shouting "You're not allowed to go back in there!"

Jade turns on him: "Fack off!" She kicks him to the ground, takes the camera and runs off with it. We see a shaky image of the tunnel floor and Jade's feet.

Jade then arrives in a room in the BB house that she's never seen before. In the corner, stood facing the wall, is Leo Sayer. Jade calls to Leo, but before she has a chance to approach him, the camera is dashed from her hand by an unseen force and footage of the floor runs for 30 seconds before cutting to black.

Davina seems to have a bit of a 'tude on her...

So did Jade get voted out? Tell more about Davina's 'tude...

Published by simon_b (not active) at 9:36pm on Fri 19th January 2007.

Yes she did. Davina was quite defensive initially, but this seemed to morph more into an unhappy resignation as the program went on, and they kept cutting back to her before and after the breaks.

Published by barryella scott (not active) at 9:43pm on Fri 19th January 2007.

Unhappy resignation? What at? That people thought Jade was a twat?

Published by Smithy at 12:48pm on Mon 22nd January 2007.

What was that all about with Cleo's little performance, on yesterday's highlights show, then? It was almost like she thought "right, things have calmed down a bit now, there doesn't seem to be much conflict going on, I know - I'll wind Dirk up lots and stir loads more tension up all over again". Irritating.

Dirk said something like "if i'd have done that, they'd have kicked me out"
hell, yeah, what gives cleo the right to go that far?
you may say he deserved it. he's only ever teased, and been a comedy king! shilpa or danielle have never once shown any feelings against his flirting, is cleo just jealous or something?
admittedly, he didn't need to turn on the whole house by smoking indoors but it was nice to see him cooling off by the end of the day

Who d'you think is going to go tonight? I'm really hoping it will be Jo, but suspect it may be Cleo.

Ah, I'd not realised that. Okay, p'rhaps so then. It's a shame Danielle wasn't one of the nominees, would have been best if her and Jo both went.

Published by Jude 1 (not active) at 2:07pm on Fri 26th January 2007.

Definitely Jo, then either Cleo or Dirk I think... I'm PRAYING not Shilpa :(

Published by katemac at 2:08pm on Fri 26th January 2007.

I don't think so. I'm pretty sure Shilpa's going to win it. Hope so anyway.

Published by Jude 1 (not active) at 2:09pm on Fri 26th January 2007.

If it was vote to save I'm sure she'd be fine, but there are still people who don't like her and I'm a bit worried her fans' vote will be split between the others :/

Published by katemac at 2:14pm on Fri 26th January 2007.

I'm hoping cleo will win as i have money on her.

Published by barryella scott (not active) at 2:16pm on Fri 26th January 2007.

@ Katemac - I would have thought *most* Shilpa-fans would vote to evict Jo, as she was one of the main bitchy/racist/anti-Shilpa gang?

I think I'm going to vote again this week (to evict Jo).

Published by Jude 1 (not active) at 2:18pm on Fri 26th January 2007.

Yeah Jo will definitely be first out, but what about second - if all Shilpa's fans only vote for Jo, there might be enough Shilpa haters to get her out second...

Published by katemac at 2:19pm on Fri 26th January 2007.

Do'h - brain like a sieve. I'd forgotten (again) that there were two evictions, despite being told so about five minutes ago on this thread ;-)

Published by Jude 1 (not active) at 2:21pm on Fri 26th January 2007.

crikey I thought i'd killed this thread.

personally i think Jo and Cleo will go - I don't think there are enough shilpa haters and most people are probably on dirk's side with cleo.

Jude. It's a double eviction, by the way.

I hope you're right, Barnesy

I put a couple of quid on Dirk and Cleo to win back at the start but I've given up hope of that now!

Published by katemac at 2:43pm on Fri 26th January 2007.

I've gone right off Cleo. She just tells everyone how great they are, she was even going on about what a "wise" person Jack was the other day. Wise? He probably couldn't even *spell* the word...

Published by Jude 1 (not active) at 2:45pm on Fri 26th January 2007.

I read about that! Possibly the most stupid and ignorant man to have ever existed, WISE?

I couldn't help being evilly amused at her failure in the "make Big Brother laugh" task as well, after spending hours getting her costume ready :D

Published by katemac at 2:47pm on Fri 26th January 2007.

Yeah, I mean, it's nice to be nice to people and all that, but to think EVERYONE is really great is just a bit dumb really.

I missed the final last night. Can anyone give me a potted summary?

Published by Jude 1 (not active) at 9:40am on Mon 29th January 2007.

Jude, I'm disgusted!

Jack and Danielle came out. Jack said next to nothing, Danielle admitted she has learnt not to be such a bitch, and said that Shilpa would probably be very understanding as she was a good person. Newsreel shown again.
Ian came out. fnarr. The first exit without any boos, he loved it. Paper headlines shown again.
Dirk came out, no boos, and cracking interview.
Jermaine came out, man that guy is such a dude, he loves everyone and we love him.
Shilpa came out. Shown video evidence of bitchyness. As predicted, she was very cool, calm, and forgiving, and openly stated that Jade is not a racist.

Then, twas Dawn of the Dead.....

Published by Dr Rhythm at 10:29am on Mon 29th January 2007.

She really didn't come across like that at all - just very sweet, graceful, dignified and a healthy dollop of niavity to make it even more real. I can understand how she irritated people in the house, but really, her values are the way she conducts herself, are incredibly admirable. And if she's able to halt this hate campaign against Jade et al, and somehow shame the media for the way they've stirred this race thing up, even better.

Published by barryella scott (not active) at 10:50am on Mon 29th January 2007.

Agreed! I think the lass has a lot of integrity.

Published by saralina at 10:53am on Mon 29th January 2007.

Agreed here too. I'm very glad she won and thought she was fabulous in her exit interview - showed that it wasn't just the race thing that made people vote for her.

Published by katemac at 10:55am on Mon 29th January 2007.

Actually BS, I quite agree. I thought she came across really well but I'm a bit concerned about what the media over here might try to do with her.

Having said that, I suspect that under the giggling and the naivity lies a resolve of steel - good luck to her.

therefore anything she says in an interview, particularly one almost guaranteed to boost her career, should be treated with extreme skepticism. c'mon, this big brother has proved beyond the beyond how much the tv audience is manipulated by the programme makers. you'd be daft not to be a teencey weencey bit dubious.
