This Fritillary has just a few skinny leaves around a long flower stem, with up to three nodding clock-shaped flowers. The exterior of the flower is olive green with brown spots. The inside is horse chestnut in colour. In its native locations, particularly the vineyards of Cyprus, Syria, Lebanon and Turkey, the Fritillaries are seen as weeds!
