Lady Gaga's meat dress is an unforgettable moment in fashion history. Making its debut at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards, the infamous dress remains one of the singer's most outrageous outfits to date, and everyone has an opinion on the look — including Billie Eilish.

During a recent interview with Variety, Billie revealed that she, like the rest of us, loves to watch award shows for the fashions. As part of the interview, Billie was quizzed for her thoughts on past Lady Gaga outfits and when the topic of the meat dress came up, she replied with a simple "Yikes."

There is no way of knowing how Billie’s small interjection was intended, whether it was that the dress was made of meat (Billie is a vegan, after all) or maybe she just didn't like it. Whatever the case, she's totally allowed to have her own opinion. But unfortunately, as Cosmopolitan noted, many are taking the remark as an excuse to "cancel" Billie.

According to the magazine, the hashtag #BillieEilishIsOverParty began trending on Twitter after the clip was made public. Some Little Monsters were quick to call for a cancellation of the 17-year-old, but others defended the singer.

One fan pointed out that yes, let's be honest, the dress was weird, and tweeted, "We spent a solid year roasting her for it." Another person agreed, writing, "Dude I've been a Gaga fan since the beginning. & even I'm not mad at Billie Eilish. Y'all are just sad for trying to cancel a 17 year old VEGAN for her own opinions/beliefs. Like you think Gaga was bothered by all the opinions back then, let alone now?"

Billie hasn't addressed the criticism yet, but it is important to remember that, at the end of the day, fashion is about whatever makes that person feel comfortable, and everyone has different taste. Just like we may never understand those who can wear underwear made of jeans, maybe Billie just didn't get how someone could turn cold cuts into a dress — and her opinion certainly doesn't call for cancellation.
