Some folks are still wondering about Lady Gaga's meat dress at Sunday's Video Music Awards show. Is it real meat?

The answer is yes. [MTV]

Franc Fernandez, the designer of the dress, told MTV: "The dress is indeed real meat from my family butcher."

The New York Daily News spoke to the butchers at Ottomanelli Brothers in New York City who said Gaga wore very inexpensive cuts. Mark Cacioppo said about 25 pounds of meat went into the dress and cost about $100.

Since it's real, did it stink?

"It ain't refrigerated. It's probably stinking bad. She's in the lights: It's cooking," said Peter Cacioppo, of Ottomanelli Brothers.

Guess how PETA reacted?
