Named by John Gilbert Baker (1834-1920) in 1880 after the "mysterious" Mr. Thrask, this towering and unique Aloe is endemic to coastal dunes of extreme South Africa. Its inflorescence is a beautiful stand of multiple racemes and yellow flowers. Very suitable for xeriscape landscapes.
