Paphiopedilum tranlienianum x spicerianum

This is a first time bloomer for me.
In a few weeks my other plant from the same batch will flower.

I'm not a huge fan of tranlienianum, but spicerianum is my favourite and its influence makes this bloom quite pleasing to me.
I'd imagine this plant will be in your collection for many years and be a reliable bloomer.

Very monotone for color but interesting how dominant the trans staminode is over the spicer's! Spicerianum normally has a strong staminodial influence in its hybrids.

Cute flower, and it is interesting to see how the parents inerit specific traits. Both parents have their own specific wonderful weirdness, their progeny looks softer than both.
