I wouldn't necessarily say rambling. The inter-bulb space is relatively short, but I find it odd that it grows in pretty much a straight line. The whole plant is 2-3" long. I haven't detected a scent and have found that many of these mini species are not unpleasantly scented.
 
No, it's not Rick. I got a piece of this from Chris in a trade a while back. The unknown is a species from Papua New Guinea. I got some information on the unknown, but I'm not sure I've ever posted it. Apparently, it was collected by Walter Teague in the 70s but never got widespread into cultivation. Supposedly, all of the pieces around come from the single clone Teague collected. It's never, to my knowledge, been formally named and is always denoted as Bulb. sp. "Rusty"
