Antigone to justify her actions against the law. The tone of this statement feels like a grief stricken
plea, to do what is right for her brother. She loves him, and he deserves to be buried. Antigone then
mentions that Creon and everyone who refuses to bury Polynices is dishonor[ing] the laws the gods
hold in honor (91 92). For Antigone to then act against everyone, would, therefore, be the right thing,
in terms of religious beliefs. For someone other than Antigone this might be sufficient enough
motivation, but since she is so complex it is only a factor. A thoughtful, rational person probably
wouldn t be so quick to jump into a decision that would inevitably lead them to their death, even if
that decision was the right one. Since Antigone is so upset with her life, she doesn t care if she lives or
dies, if the past is any indication of her future, only more pain will come. This is what makes her do
the right thing. Antigone believes burying her brother is right, and that the laws of the gods must be

Differences Between The Crucible Movie And Movie
The Crucible, an original play written by Arthur Miller, has had a multitude of adaptations come out
after its release in 1953. Among these adaptations are the movie, The Crucible, directed by Nicholas
Hytner and starring Daniel Day Lewis and Winona Ryder and local performances of the play, such as
the one seen at the Civic Theatre. The Crucible is about the people of Salem, MA and trouble of the
accusations of witchery after Abigail, the niece of Reverend Parris, has an affair with the married John
Proctor and he denies her when she attempts to do it again. Specifically, Abigail s reaction to the
rejection in the movie is portrayed so much more realistic than it is in the play and the entire cast
portraying their characters realistically for how it was appropriate for the setting of the movie.
Although the movie was exceptional in content, the universal portrayal of the characters was better in
the movie. Overall, The Crucible movie version, directed by Nicholas Hytner, portrayed the characters
better the play because Winona Ryder portrayed Abigail Williams better than the written play did, and
the cast as a whole worked together to create the mood of the historical time period of both the Salem
Witch Trials and the communist era. Additionally, even though the written play was amazing due to it
being first , the movie was still better at portraying the development of the characters.

The movie, Night and Fog was filmed in 1955 portraying all of the disgusting acts that were
performed and happened to the people throughout the Nazi Concentration Camps. This movie
captured many pictures and multiple clips containing the horror that the Nazi s were put through. I

believed he needed to step up to the plate and financially provide for his mother and family. However

Each boarding school had a set of tight rules designed to assimilate the children in such a way that

I waded through the crowds, and struck up conversations with anyone willing. One gentleman stated
