Description

An endemic of Peloponnessos in southern Greece where I first encountered it, without a name, close on 30 years ago!

It has deep pink flowers in the autumn and these can carry an evasive tessellation, essentially however it is pink and very good, with short broad leaves made after the flowers, in September. Perhaps related to Colchicum lingulatum for those who want affinities.

Eminently growable in a sunny, well drained soil in the garden.
