This rare and endangered species of guava is native to the mountains of Southern Brazil. It is quite tolerant of cold, drought and heat. The tree reaches 45 feet or more but will also do well in a pot. The flavor is soft and juicy with notes of pineapple, peach and a texture of smooth banana. The robust guava is a must for collectors of rare fruits.
