Livistona benthamii 'Golden' -- germination

Planted about a 100 L. benthamii 'Golden' seeds in the beginning of August, and the first ones have come up now. Very happy to see these little guys as I find the species extremely attractive, especially the Golden variant.

So far I have about 10% germinated and I'm starting to pot them up. I'm wondering -- how long can I keep these in community pots? I've heard Livistonas don't like transplanting, but I'm hoping they can tolerate it a bit better when they're young. 

Also, would love to see pictures of others' L. benthamii palms, if anyone's growing these right now.

I got a few dozen goldens germinating now. Divide before their roots become intertwined with any others. I lost a bunch of normal green benthamii as i tubed them up in winter. Do it when its warm. I have 2 golden benthamii in the ground that endure near freezing each winter. one is becoming big, the other is slower but no problems. I have half a dozen green benthamii. They do well but are slower than in the tropics…obviously.

Thanks! I'll keep an eye on them, and won't let them get crowded in the pots. They'll be in an environment with temperatures ranging from 25-30C (77-86F) most of the time. 20C/68F-minimum during the winter.
