Found in Panama at elevations of 850 to 1000 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with erect ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 to 3 scarious, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, elliptic, minutely bilobed apically, gradually narrows below into the elongate, petiolate base leaf which blooms in the spring on an erect, single flowered inflorescence that is longer than the leaves and arises from near the apex of the ramicaul and has a tubular bract below the middle and a tubular floral bract and carrying nodding, solitary flowers.
