Common Name The Undivided Dendrobium [refers to the lip] - In Thailand - Tansian Mai

Flower Size .1 to .4" [.3 to .9 cm]

Found in Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Sumatra, Java, Borneo, and the Molucca Islands in semi-deciduous and deciduous dry lowland forests and savana-like woodlands as a small to medium sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte at elevations of 400 to 1600 meters with curved, unbranched, leafy stems carrying, many, lanceolate, imbricating, spreading leaves that blooms on a very short inflorescence with a single, tiny, fan-shaped flower arising from the bases of the numerous imbricate leaves occuring in the summer to winter.

Water should be lessened in the fall and then in late winter almost curtailed. Fertilizer should be stopped as soon as the plant is not actively growing. Both water and fertilizer should be resumed with the onset of new growth in the spring.
