Found in New Guinea on trees in primary forests at elevations of 1000 to 1500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with a patent or pendulous rhizome giving rise to clustered, ovoid ellipsoid to globular pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, ovate to elliptic, acuminate, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring, fall and winter on a very short, single flowered inflorescence.
