Common Name The Scorpion Bulbophyllum

Flower Size 1.2" [3 cm]

Found in Papua New Guinea at unknown elevations and vegetative parts not seen that blooms on an erect to patent peduncle, an arching, [16 cm] long rachis, rather lax, to 10 flowered inflorescence with ovate, the lowermost tubular, acute floral bracts and carrying mostly simultaneously opening flowers.

According to J J Vermuellen - "Bulbophyllum scorpio differs from B. digitatum J. J. Sm. by the petals which have only slightly erose distal margins, and by the deltoid wing along the lower margins of the stelidia."
