Calamagrostis brachytricha

ACHNATHERUM BRACHYTRICHA
Calamagrostis arundinacea

Deciduous Grass / Grass-Like, Perennial

Frothy plumes in summer persist into late fall and have a slight pink tinge. They are especially delightful backlit, and when the plumes catch a breeze, they gently sway; a lovely way to introduce movement into the garden. It is more shade tolerant than some of the other large grasses but blooms best in full sun with adequate water.
