You will smell the flowers of Jasminum officinale before you see it. The scent is spectacular and as such, is best situated near a terrace where time is spent relaxing or climbing up walls beneath open windows during the summer. The national plant of Pakistan, it is thought to have been indigenous to Central Asia.

Care
This vigorous climber will need a support structure through or up which to climb - horizontal lines of wire or trellising. Plant 40cm away from any wall. While establishing ensure that it is properly watered, thereafter it is drought tolerant.
