Center and East of La Palma, Center of La Gomera, Center and South of Tenerife, and Center and West of Gran Canaria.

Origin

Habitat

It is a typical species of Cedral high tinerfeña summit and palm tree. It develops on cliffs and rocky cliffs of ancient materials. It is also found as a companion in the pine forests. In the islands of Gran Canaria and La Gomera they are part of the vegetation of rocky environments. (Bañares et al., 2009)

Population data

The available data estimate the population in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife in 1,212 individuals and in the Montaña del Cedro, the only population in Gran Canaria, in 50 individuals (Bañares et al., 2008)
