Description
Robiquetia succisa, a fascinating miniature orchid, stands out with its unusual hanging inflorescences and light green, elongated leaves. Originally from the humid forests of Southeast Asia, such as Thailand and Indonesia, this orchid thrives in high humidity, making it an ideal choice for terrariums. The plant reaches a moderate size and can spread slowly with its short, creeping rhizomes. It is best cultivated in the home terrarium if these natural conditions are imitated and high humidity and a good aerial root system are provided. A slightly acidic to neutral substrate that is rich in organic materials supports the healthy growth of this orchid species.
Robiquetia succisa is characterised by its numerous small, yellow-green flowers that appear on long, hanging inflorescences. These inflorescences can reach an impressive length and add a spectacular visual element to any terrarium.
