Popular Greenville burger stand reopening on Camperdown Plaza with chicken, vegan options

The handheld burger and sandwich establishment Perfect Buns Greenville at 20 E. Broad St. in the Camperdown Plaza will reopen on Tuesday, March 12 with a new burger, chicken and vegan menu and new hours.

Perfect Buns' 2024 will feature a brand-new menu highlighted by a bagel burger, chicken and waffle sandwich and additional plant-based options and happy hour deals.

What began as Social Burger in 2022 repurposed itself into Perfect Buns in 2023, with a greater expansion to sandwiches and burgers. Today, the eatery specializes as an on-the-go handheld burger and sandwich parlor that doubles as a walk-up bar which usually reopens just before the beginning of spring.

This March, the sandwich shop/burger stand will also debut a "Perfect Combo" meal option which offers a cheeseburger, fries or onion rings, and a fountain drink for $13.

What are new items on menu at Perfect Buns?

First on Perfect Buns new menu is a Southern-style Carolina Bagel Burger that combines a Smashburger with pimento cheese, a fried green tomato, and Carolina gold barbecue sauce on an onion bagel.

Sweet and savory meet as their new chicken and waffle sandwich will have a Belgian sugar waffle act as the bun for the fried chicken and sauced with maple crema and caramelized onions.

A new "sips and snacks" happy hour menu will be available from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday as all beer and wine purchases will include a free order of French fries.

Perfect Buns will bring additional plant-based protein options to its storefront and also offer the waffle sandwich in a vegan option, as well as other menu items.

What are Perfect Buns new hours of operation?

Beginning on March 12, Perfect Buns will be open Tuesday through Sunday with hours adjusting for various days of the week.

  • Sun./Tue/Wed — 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.

  • Thursday — 11 a.m. until 10 p.m.

  • Fri./Sat — 11 a.m. until 11 p.m.
