Did you know you can go inside Tower Bridge? It’s such a cool experience at this iconic London landmark!

We started off by climbing the North Tower. It’s a spiral staircase but don’t worry, there are benches along the way to rest at, and lots of interesting history to see – it’s all part of the experience. Plus the architecture and windows are beautiful 😍 There is a lift if you are unable to climb up the stairs.

I would say the most famous bit of going inside Tower Bridge is the glass walkway, 42 metres above the River Thames! There are two, first you go along the East Walkway. It’s a bit scary stepping on to the glass walkway at first, but you get used to it!

Then you go to the West Walkway. Top tip is to take your photos here, as there is a mirror on the ceiling, so you can see your glass walkway poses! 😉

We spent a while here, we were having loads of fun on the walkways! Then down the South Tower to the road, and we followed the blue line to the Engine Rooms.

This is a wow, we saw the original Victorian steam engines and coal-fired boilers, These were in use until 1976, when Tower Bridge switched from steam power to electricity.

We also learnt about the workers, Tyler played an interactive game and Lily read everything! Including the story of the bus jumping over as the bridge was opening – yes that really happened!

We ended our trip at the gift shop which is full of London goodies. Lily chose the Tower Bridge Cat book, which is a nice story actually. Then we went for a walk to The Monument.

All in all, we spent an hour and a half here and really enjoyed it! It’s definitely worth a visit.
