Size: Upright to 5 ft. high and wide.
Flowers: Light lavender to white flowers, summer; medium green scented leaves slightly hairy. Square stems.
Uses: Background, screen, wildlife, containers. Resprouts from roots after fires.
Wildlife: Landing platform for bees and butterflies. Also attracts hummingbirds. Deer resistive.
Soil: Well-drained.
Water: Regular, especially in winter.
Sun: Full sun to some shade.
Pruning: Wayward side stems can be cut off at base. After winter, cut off any frost-damaged stems near base.

Notes: Found along riverbeds in sandy soil among rocks. Hardy to 20° F.
