Habitat and Distribution
Sulawesi (Indonesia).
Description
This slender dwarf Areca is perfect for smaller understory areas of the garden. Has a maroon crownshaft similar to some Basselinia. The name ‘oxycarpa’ refers to the pointed fruit of this species. (Floribunda Nursery, Hawaii)

Prefers Tropical Setting. Cold Hardiness Zone: 10b
Comments and Curiosities
Conservation: Critically endangered – this palm has an extremely limited distribution on a peninsula in North Sulawesi. The area as a whole is experiencing a shocking loss of biodiversity.
