Blue Grama (Bouteloua gracilis) Seeds - Prairie Moon Nursery

Dense tufts of blue-hued grass blades curl gently, forming an attractive base for the rich purple seeds that rise up in late summer. As fall progresses, the seedheads curve and flare as they dry, looking like the "Eyelash Grass" it is often called. Blades turn a rich golden brown in the fall. This grass historically sustained the vast herds of bison on the Great Plains. Marvelously drought resistant.
