There are many forms of begonias which are popular flowering potted plants and annual bedding plants for containers and hanging baskets, including tuberous, Elatior, Loraine, gracilis, semperflorens, and Rex. Begonias readily hybridise and many natural hybrids exist; new species are still being discovered around the globe. This exciting group of plants is well known for the colourful foliage, thick and succulent stems, and large showy flowers.
