Chittering to Eneabba with disjunct populations near Capel, growing in sandy and sandy-clay soil on the margins of seasonally wet flats and drainage lines. There is also a disjunct population near Capel

An attractive species 250–400 mm high with a hairy leaf 120–200 mm long by 7–10 mm wide and up to three creamy-white to pinkish-red flowers 70–120 mm across.

It is distinguished from the similar Heberle’s Spider Orchid (Caladenia heberleana) by its more narrowly clubbed petals and sepals, pinkish-red colouration and northerly distribution.
