Native to Central America and Mexico, the beautiful Guarianthe aurantiaca blooms in late winter/early spring. The brilliant flowers are a fire-y orange color that remind me of an intense sunset. This spotted form has burgundy freckles on the petals. This showy orchid would brighten up any space!

Ships in a 4″ hanging basket. Does not come with flowers, but is mature to bloom.

Description

For this orchid, the roots like to dry out quickly, so pot in a thick, airy, fast drying orchid mix.
Water thoroughly and often in growing months, in cooler months water much less frequently.
In their native habitat, these orchids are used to going through a dry season in the cooler months. It needs strong air movement and lots of humidity about 50% or above.
