Polaroid 1000

The Polaroid 1000, launched in 1977, perhaps the ultimate expression of Edwin Land’s vision of the people’s camera. As the simplest SX-70 camera, this camera is very simple indeed! It has a very basic automatic exposure system and a fixed focus lens. It was sold under a variety of names (Pronto, Button etc) and in a variety of different colour schemes, but I think this black and white version with the rainbow strip is the definitive version!

I have to admit I have never used this camera and probably never will… Polaroid and Impossible film is to expensive to waste on such a basic camera! It’s just a cool piece of 70s memorabilia.
