Suculenta Euphorbia Aggregata

It has tight shrub-shaped stems with spines that are very harmful to animals.

The Euhorbia Aggregata comes from southern Africa and is known as the Euhorbia alternicola. It is a succulent plant that grows bush shaped, with the condition that it is a dwarf plant. It is formed through multiple branches that exit the main stem and with branches that are as a result of soil, reaching a size of eight centimeters high. The vertical branches are two to three centimeters in diameter.

The edges of the tips of the shoots intersect with the triangular holes that grow with age. New shoots are green, and as sections become old, they change to brown keys. The spines are distributed irregularly and individually and the sides of the stems are woody, between six and eight millimeters in length. Initially, the spines are reddish or purple, however, with age they become brown.

Like flowers, the leaves are very short-lived, small and only appear at the ends of branches. The flowers may be dark purple or green and usually bloom during the summer, and the leaves are usually light green.

It has good tolerance for heat and cold, holds minimum temperatures up to a negative degree. Appreciates direct lighting, but it also dislikes having some shade, especially in the warmer months, where the sun can cause burns. The irrigation must be moderated from March to October, you must irrigate once every fortnight in the spring, weekly in the summer, and the last irrigation must be monthly, with October being the last month to receive water. Then we will not provide more water until the minimum temperatures are stable again.

Finally, like all succulents, it has great resistance to drought, so we must ensure that when we water, the substrate is completely dry. If not, we can cause the roots to rot and end the life of this plant.
