Cactus Euphorbia Aeruginosa

You have to be careful when manipulating it due to the toxic latex it detains.

The Euhorbia Aeruginosa comes from southern Africa and is known as mini saguaro. It is a small succulent plant with bluish-green stems that barely exceed twenty-five centimeters in height. It branches off from about half a stem and has a series of edges where the tips come out with very fine red spines measuring between a centimeter and two in length.

In terms of flowering, it occurs between spring and summer, and like many other euphorbias it makes flowers that are practically unnoticed. They are small and yellow and appear on the upper part of the stems.

It needs to be in a place where it has partial shade, especially in the central hours of the day, and it is important that you do not expose it to temperatures below ten degrees positive. The irrigation must be regular from spring to autumn, particularly in the waiting that the substrate to be completely dry. In winter, you should give it a break, and you should not water it until the minimum temperatures exceed seven positive degrees.

Finally, it is resistant to pests and diseases, but we must be careful that they can be attacked by fungi if we exceed irrigation.
