Common Name The White Satyrium

Flower Size 1" [2.5 cm]

Found in Cape Province South Africa on moist sandy flatsat elevations of 15 to 300 meters as a small to large sized, cool growing terrestrial with 2, adpressed tothe ground, very broad, leaves that transition into the cup-like sheathing leaves above that blooms in the spring on an erect, 2.4 to 14" [6 to 35 cm] long, many [6 to 36] flowered inflorescence with narrowly linear, acute, pilose margined floral bracts and carrying non-resupinate, sweetly scented flowers.
