Found as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial in Tasmania Australia at elevations of 500 to 900 meters in tall wet, montane forests with a loose rosette of 2 to 3 basal, ovate to ovate-lanceolate, entire to crenate margin, shortly petiolate leaves with 2 to 3, leaflike, loosely sheathing stem bracts that blooms in the spring and summer on an erect, 10 " [25 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence
