Found in Nigeria, Cameroon and Gabon in lowland and montane forests at eleavtions of 50 to 1300 meters as a medium sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with cylindrical to fusiform, slender pseudobulbs enveloped by 2 to 3 basal sheaths and carrying to 12, suberect, linear-lanceolate to oblong-lanceolate, acuminate leaves that blooms in the spring and fall on a terminal, erect, simple or branched, subdensely papillate, 2.8 to 4" [7 to 10 cm] long, densely to 30 flowered inflorescence with triangular-ovate, acute, glabrous floral bracts.
Similar to Polystachya rhodoptera.
