Common Name Gardner's Neogardneria [English Botanist and orchid collector in Brazil 1800's]

Found in southeastern Brazil as a small to medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with robust, clustered, ovoid-oblong, slightly laterally compressed pseudobulbs enveloped basally by a few sulcate, rugose sheaths and carrying 2 apical, linear-lanceolate, attenuate and conduplicate below into the base leaves that blooms in the late spring through summer on a robust, erect, shorter than the leaves, 4 to 10" [10 to 25 cm] long, 3 to 6 flowered inflorescence carrying well spaced, large, fragrant flowers.
