Common Name Bathie's Jumellea [French Botanist late 1800's early 1900's]

Flower Size 1.2" [3 cm]

Found in central Madagascar in upper montane forests on moss and lichen covered trees at elevations around 2400 meters as a small sized, cold growing epiphyte with erect to pendent, cylindrical stems carrying linear-ligulate, thin, leathery leaves that blooms in the late summer and early fall on short, peduncle enveloped completely by sheaths, .4 to .6" [1 to 1.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence carrying white, medium sized, thick, fleshy flowers witha green spur.
