Common Name The Arso Bulbophyllum [An area of northern New Guinea]

Found only in New Guinea on mossy trees in montane forests near rivers at elevations around 350 to 450 meters as a miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with close set, alternate, narrowly cylindrical pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly ligulate, minutely apiculate, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on a basal, short to .44" [1.1 cm] long, drooping, single flowered inflorescence with tubular tubular, keeled, acuminate floral bracts.
