Epiphyte, creeping, to 8 cm high. Rhizome short. Roots filiform, elongated, flexuose, glabrous. Pseudobulbs crowded, subovoid-cylindrical, 1.4-1.8 cm by 0.5-0.7 cm above the base; 1-leaved. Leaves erect-patent narrowly oblong-ligulate, coriaceous, glabrous, 5.5-8 by 1-1.5 cm near the middle; base gradually narrowed, subpetiolate. Inflorescence numerous from rhizome, erect, slender, filiform, terete, glabrous, 3-4- cm high, with few small, well-spaced sheaths; 1-flowered. Floral bracts ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, glabrous, much shorter than the slender pedicellate ovary. Flowers large for the section, erect. Sepals narrowly oblong-lanceolate, acute, glabrous, reflexed, 1.3 cm long. Lateral sepals somewhat oblique. Petals minute, obliquely ovate-lanceolate, subobtuse, acuminate, glabrous, 0.15 cm long. Lip fleshy, narrowly oblong, tongue-shaped, obtuse, glabrous, not papillose, 1.2 cm long; base curved, with 2 auricles; basal third narrowed; underneath foveolate; front part terete. Column slender, incurved; stelidia porrect, unequally bilobed, short; column-foot short. Anther cucullate-helmet-shaped, in front shortly notched. Ovary slender pedicellate, subcylindrical, glabrous, including the pedicel c. 2 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1905)

Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 600-1000 m.
