Synonyms:
Epiphyte, very small. Rhizome very short. Roots filiform, flexuose, glabrous. Pseudobulbs minute, cylindrical, 0.15 cm high; 1-leaved. Leaf erect, oblanceolate-elliptic, minutely apiculate, glabrous, 1.5-4.5 cm by 0.5-0.9 cm above the middle; base gradually narrowed. Inflorescences 1-flowered, erect, c. 1-1.7 cm high, filiform, with a few small peduncle-scales. Floral bracts cucullate, as long as the ovary. Flower not resupinated. Sepals oblong, subobtuse, margins minutely finely ciliate. Median sepal 0.45 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique, up to the apex tightly connate, 0.3 cm long. Petals subfalcate, ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, 0.3 cm long; margins minutely finely ciliate. Lip oblong-quadrangular, 0.3 cm long; base with 2 minute auricles; in the basal third with very small, forward pointing, rounded lateral lobes; mid-lobe oblong, obtuse, with densely finely ciliate margins; midrib at the base of the lip keeled-thickened; apex incurved at the margins, densely finely warty. Column short, glabrous; stelidia falcate-lanceolate, acute, large; column-foot somewhat incurved. Ovary sessile, glabrous, 0.2 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1913)
Flower dark purple. Lip white at the base, with white lateral lobes.
Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 1200-1900 m.
Malesia (New Guinea).
