English Name:

The Green-Calli Bulbophyllum.

Description:

With subglobose-conical pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, lanceolate-ligulate, acuminate, narrowing below into the short, thin, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late winter and early spring on a pendant, 35 cm long, long pedunculate, several 7 to 15 flowered inflorescence.

Distribution:

Bismarck Archipelago, New Guinea.

Ecological:

In montane forests on trees at elevations of 600 to 2200 m as a small sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte.

Flower time:

Bloom in the late winter and early spring.

Flower size:

7.0 mm.

Cultivation:

Plants usually grow in in intermediate to warm temperatures. Keep moist in summer seasons and do not allow mix to dry, in winter keep the mix slight dry and reduce watering. Watering usually varies between plants Keep good air movement to avoid fungal growth. Keep plants in shade. Pot plants in sphagnum moss, fine bark, or mounted.
