This is a really nice theatre, and I’ve been here twice in the last month. It’s spacious, clean, and comfortable and there is loads of parking. Toilets are good, and there is a nice atmosphere.
However - on both occasions the queue for the bar was enormous and there was only one person frantically trying to serve everyone. How she got through all these people herself was impressive, but we didn’t bother buying anything as we didn’t want to stand in the queue for so long. There seemed to be plenty of other staff around so I don’t know why they didn’t muck in and help at those busy times.
Otherwise, this is a brilliant venue - simple solution is sort the bar service!

Fab theatre, great size with helpful and friendly staff! Really good for a comedy show due to the size. Water dispensers lots of recycling points and a bar with a great selection of drinks.

Not a bad seat in the house! Great intimate venue, with decent bar facilities (as it is within a college it also has lots of space and toilets to accomodate the audience), and lots of safe free car parking.
Saw the Panto (Snow WHite) - many a chuckle and good fun!

the foyer leads to a large expanse of seating in the cafe/bar area, there is enough space between each table to allow a private conversation to take place. the auditorium has about 500 elevated seats with huge legroom between the rows.
the show itself was faultless, Barry Steele sang Roy Orbison without fault. the story of each song was displayed on the screen behind the band giving a very professional show. during Barrys breaks from singing his band gave renditions of songs of that era , all in all a top class performance. now for the points, has to be 10/10 across the board.

Travelling all the way from Sweden to see The Furuys one more time. Comfortable seats. Everybody have an excellent view to the stage as the rows are steep.

Wonderful performance at Gardyne theatre. The stage set was terrific. The ugly sisters were absolutely hilarious. Fairy G was a beautiful singer and had boundless vitality throughout her performance.
Well done too to the children on stage.
Great performance all round

Having never been to this venue before, I was slightly apprehensive when booking our tickets for Cinderella, however the ease of parking persuaded me to take the risk.
The venue is within a college campus so be prepared for the student environment whilst waiting to get your seats!
The theatre itself is a lovely size with tiered seating so everyone gets a good view. It is intimate enough to allow the cast to interact with the audience, so if you don't like the spotlight sit towards the back!
The show was great, full of songs and laughs. My sons were entertained throughout the whole performance, as were my parents. Something for Everyone!
The only annoying thing which had nothing to do with the performance or venue directly, was I paid to have my tickets sent by recorded delivery and am still waiting! The box office was extremely helpful and wrote our seat numbers on a piece of paper so we could gain entrance to the show but when you have paid over £150 for tickets, you hope for something to Show!
However we are looking forward to next years Snow White ("even though its another girly story!")

We had a ball at The Gardyne Theatre watching Cinderella, a traditional Christmas pantomime.
The comfortable, intimate theatre allows the audience to be part of the action and the acoustics are superb.
The atmosphere adds to the event and the show itself had a small but enthusiastic and really professional cast.
Buttons was made for the roll and the Ugly Sisters were ugly. Cinderella was charming and the Fairy G had energy to burn.
The dancers added to the entertainment value and in all, we enjoyed a good night.
It would assist, for people from outwith Dundee, if the theatre was better signposted, particularly at night.
