Characteristics: Prairie Junegrass is a perennial bunchgrass that is native to the US. Leaf blades are silvery green in color. Plants grow to a height of two to three feet. This species is a cool season grass that will go dormant in hot weather.
Cultivation: Prairie Junegrass prefers full sun and a well drained soil.
Native Range: Northern Hemisphere
Landscape Uses: An excellent ornamental grass for a wildflower meadow or to mix in a perennial garden.
