What is the history of Beecraigs Country Park?
Beecraigs Loch was formed by the dam built at its east end by German prisoners during the first world war. In the shadow of the dam is the site of the old trout farm. North of the loch you emerge from beautiful woods, complete with a badger sett, into the high grassland that forms the deer farm.
Located 2 miles south of Linlithgow, home of Linlithgow Palace (Wentwoth Prison), Beecraigs Country Park was used for Outlander season 4 filming.
