Description
DESCRIPTION
FUNCTIONAL FLASH DRIVE Technical Field
The present invention is related to a functional flash drive that increases the card memory when portable memory card is inadequate, enables using multiple devices in USB slot thereof, ensures the data in the flash drive memory to be reached in single slot and other devices connected to the USB input to be operated or charged and the data therein to be reached, and comprises one female and one male input.
Background of the Invention USB is the abbreviation of "Universal Serial Bus". USB means "Evrensel Seri Veriyolu" in Turkish. USB has a serial connection structure, which provides the connection of computer with external hardware devices. The latest version thereof is 3.0. The transfer rate thereof is 600 MB/s. USB flash drive is a small and portable device using this bus and connected to computer USB port. Not only USB flash drive stores data similar to hard disk, but said data can easily be transferred from one computer to another via flash drive as well. USB flash drives have different sizes and shapes and can store data in gigabytes. USB flash drives are also called pen drive, thumb drive, key chain drive, USB memory, and memory key.
While a standard USB 2.0 bus provides 5.00 volts and 500ma output, USB 3.0 bus has 900ma output value. Thanks to the plug and play (PnP) property thereof, it is used for the connection of numerous devices.
Universal serial bus enables peripherals to operate automatically the moment they are connected to the computer. By this means it is possible to operate 127 types of devices; multiple devices can be connected to single port with additional apparatus.
USB is a simple four-wire connection. Data encoding is called NRZI (Non-return to Zero Inverted).
The product available in the closest prior art is USB multiplexer hubs. USB hub is a device enabling multiple USB devices to be connected to a single USB port. A standard USB hub comprises a USB cable and a certain number of USB ports in the front face thereof in order to be connected to USB port on the computer. It is also called USB multiplexer in the market. USB hubs cannot store data, but they function only as multiplexer.
Bus powered hub gets its power from USB interface of the host computer. Therefore, an extra power connection is not required. Still, numerous devices require more power than this application can provide and cannot operate with such a hub. Conversely, self-powered hub gets its power from an external power support and thus, all the ports thereof can provide full power. Many hubs can operate either as bus powered hub or as self-powered hub.

Description of the Invention
The present invention is related to a functional flash drive that increases the card memory when portable memory card is inadequate, enables using multiple devices in USB slot thereof, ensures the data in the flash drive memory to be reached in single slot and other devices connected to the USB input to be operated or charged and the data therein to be reached, and comprises one female and one male input. While describing the invention, USB female end (1), USB male end (2) and protective body (3) are utilized.
As functional flash drive comprises USB female end (1) and USB male end (2), numerous functional flash drives can be interconnected in series. By this means when flash drive memory is inadequate, desired memory can be obtained by connecting the drives to each other. In addition, any device/apparatus having USB male end (2) can be connected purposefully to USB female end (1) of the last one of the drives interconnected in series and said device/apparatus functions in a thorough manner. For instance, while a device with USB port reaches the data inside the flash drive by being connected to the USB female end (1) of functional drive, said device is also charged simultaneously.
Thanks to the special software installed on functional flash drives according to the invention, data inside the flash drive can be protected. The coding system which provides protection can also be associated to hardware apart from software. By introducing desired number of functional flash drives (more than one) to the software, it is provided that the data therein cannot be read unless all the flash drives are interconnected in series. Said property is much safer when compared to coded lock system which can be broken easily by hackers. It becomes difficult to reach the data inside flash drives and undesirable information/data theft is prevented when the
hardware is included in the lock system. In companies with multiple managers, it is provided that unless all the drives are clustered, the data in the memory is not reached or the flash drive cannot function. Said situation especially provides that signing cannot be performed unless all the shareholders get together in companies where said shareholders have equal rights.
