Abstract

A portable, personal scooter (2) is disclosed which is small, lightweight, and foldable for enhanced portability. A motorized version is controlled by a controller (653) sensitive to platform load, among other things. Brake and suspension systems are shown, as are skids (60) ahead of rear wheels (8) for navigating road hazards.
