Abstract
A wireless, remote controlled electric skateboard for entertainment and transportation. The skateboard includes a skateboard body, a driving truck, a motor for driving the driving truck, a controller to control the motor, and a portable control device to wirelessly adjust the speed of the skateboard by transmitting a wireless signal to the controller.
Description
- The present application claims priority 35 U.S.C. §119 to Chinese Patent Publication No. CN 201520833864.1 (filed on Oct. 27, 2015), which is hereby incorporated by reference in its entirety.
- Embodiments relate to a wireless, remote controlled electric skateboard for entertainment and transportation.
- Current wireless remote controlling electric skateboards on market are of huge volume, weight (25-35 kg), and manufactured with an inner rotor brushed motor of low power. A lead battery or thick lithium battery are applied on the electric skateboard. The remote controller is not sized to fit in a pocket, and the product weight is far beyond a standard allowing it to be portable.
- To overcome the technical defects in conventional designs, the wireless, remote controlled electric skateboard in accordance with embodiments, includes a skateboard body, an ultra-thin Lithium battery, a battery case, a controller, a driving truck, a brushless motor, a synchronization wheel drive, a motor bracket, a synchronous belt, a belt protective cover, a driven wheel, and a wireless controller.
- In accordance with embodiments, the ultra-thin Lithium battery and controller are assembled in the battery case and fixed on the deck of the skateboard body. The brushless motor, the synchronization wheel drive, and the motor bracket are assembled, then fixed on the driving truck. The driven wheel is placed over the driving truck, and deceleration and transfer of torque is permitted through a synchronous belt. The belt protective cover is installed outside of the synchronization wheel drive to protect from outside touch. The wireless controller is configured to control the controller and thereby adjust the speed.
- The wireless, remote controlled electric skateboard in accordance with embodiments is advantageous in being small, light-weight, powerful, a long-battery-life, portability. For instance, the wireless, remote controlled electric skateboard may have an overall weight of 5.98 kg, which enables the skateboard to be portable for users. Moreover, the skateboard may be constructed having a small volume design. The length may be 91 cm and the thickness may be 3.5 cm. Due to the weight and size, the skateboard may fit in carrying bag or a trunk.
-
FIG. 1 is a wireless, remote controlled electric skateboard, in accordance with embodiments. - As illustrated in
FIG. 1 , a wireless, remote controlled electric skateboard includes askateboard body 1, a battery, such as anultra-thin Lithium battery 2, abattery case 3, acontroller 4, adriving truck 5, a motor, such as abrushless motor 6, a synchronization wheel drive 7, a motor bracket 8, asynchronous belt 9, a beltprotective cover 10, a drivenwheel 11, and awireless controller 12. - The
ultra-thin Lithium battery 2 and thecontroller 4 are assembled in thebattery case 3, and fixed on the deck of theskateboard body 1. Thebrushless motor 6, the synchronization wheel drive 7, and the motor bracket 8 are assembled, and then fixed on thedriving truck 5. The drivenwheel 11 is connected to thedriving truck 5, and deceleration and transfer of torque is permitted through thesynchronous belt 9. The beltprotective cover 10 is installed outside of the synchronization wheel drive 7 in order to protect from outside touch. Thewireless controller 12 is configured to control thecontroller 4, and thereby, adjust the speed of the assembled skateboard. - The wireless, remote controlled electric skateboard is to operate as follows. First, the
wireless controller 12 is to transmit a wireless signals to thecontroller 4. Thecontroller 4 may then send the signal tobrushless motor 6. - The
brushless motor 6 then drives the synchronization wheel drive 7 via thesynchronous belt 9. - The torque is sent to the driven
wheel 11, so to achieve the effect of either increasing or decreasing the speed. - The
wireless controller 12 may also transmit a brake signal to thecontroller 4 in order to us a braking function and thereby ensure the safety of users of the skateboard. -
