And ahead of a possible imminent transfer from Arsenal, an interesting extract from 2010 has surfaced.
Long before Sanchez signed for Arsenal and even Barcelona, he was plying his trade in the Serie A with Udinese where he rose to prominence.
While the La Liga side eventually won the race to his signature in 2011, it appears Sanchez had his heart set on a move to Old Trafford according to an unnamed Chilean teammate.
"All Alexis wants is to play for Manchester United," revealed a Chile teammate, who did not want to be named. "He'd give anything for that," via Goal.

The report suggests Sir Alex Ferguson was keeping a close eye on Sanchez, and impressed the then-United boss with his performances for Chile in the 2010 World Cup.
Sir Alex was keen to snap him up as a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo who had left a year before to Real Madrid.
