Today, at Taunton Crown Court, a prolific paedophile was jailed for four-and-a-half years for carrying out a series of sickening sex assaults on a young boy.
Alan Blakemore, 50, from Parsons Close, Long Sutton, admitted a string of charges including sexual assault and inciting a child into sexual activity, while two charges of rape were ordered to lie on file.
The boy was aged just six-years-old when he was first targeted in 2006.
The sentencing judge, His Honour Judge David Ticehurst, said Blakemore was 'undoubtedly a paedophile who is attracted to young boys and poses a danger to them.'
In court today it was revealed that Blakemore had previously served two-and-a-half years in jail for sexual assaults against two other boys, following a trial in 2013.
Speaking today, the father of one of those victims said he would never forgive him for attacking his son.
"I'm seething that it was allowed to happen," he said. "That's three boys we know about - have there been others who haven't come forward?
"To this day, I still don't really know about what happened, what went on between him and my child. I still feel as if I let him down.

"As long as I've got breath in my body, I will never forgive him for what he did to my boy."
The man's son was the first to come forward and it was his bravery and the subsequent media coverage that prompted two other victims to come forward and tell police what Blakemore had done to them.
And while the families of those he has targeted can take some comfort in the knowledge Blakemore is back behind bars, the father readily admits that no sentence handed down to paedophiles can ever be enough.
"Is four and a half years long enough? I don't think it is," he said.
"He'll serve two thirds of that, so he'll be in prison for perhaps three years. Three years of his life and then he can just crack on.
"It's the youngsters he's abused. It'll be with them for the rest of their lives - 80, 90 years they'll have to live with what he's done to them."
His sentiments were echoed by children's charity the NSPCC, which have been following the court proceedings closely.

A spokeswoman said: "Blakemore’s appalling actions will have had an enormous impact on his young victim.
"Sexual abuse can ruin childhoods, and the effects can last a lifetime.
"We hope the victims are receiving support to recover from their ordeals.
"Blakemore must be policed effectively to aid his rehabilitation and to prevent any further repeats of his offending."
