Coleen Nolan's sister spent almost a month exchanging messages with the Facebook hoaxer, who targetted her despite the actress suffering with cancer.
Linda believed the woman had protected her sister from the blast, which killed 22 victims, leaving her badly injured.
The kind star opened up about her own health struggles to the sick troll, and sent reassuring messages to "Emily Hughes".
In addition to supporting the fraudster personally, she also got her sister Coleen to send "Emily Hughes" best wishes on Loose Women.
Following several weeks of messaging the youngster, Linda was finally going to see her in hospital.
In a shocking turn of events, they faked their own death and broke the news to the stunning star through a "friend" causing Linda to grow suspicious.
With pictures of Linda's phone and the messages on The Mirror Online, the "tragic" message read: "Hi All Luke speaking (obviously)
"Everybody should have heard the news by now. Last night em sadly passed away after what seemed a very long battle".

Linda realised she had been conned after becoming concerned that the death toll from the attack hadn't risen from 22.
She explained: "This is a vile human being. How sick can a person get?
"I think she’s sick in the head – not only to jump on the bandwagon of the Manchester bombings when there are so many real victims, but to pick on somebody who has recently been re-diagnosed with cancer."
“I confided in her and we formed a strong bond. I wanted to help her and I thought we had a connection. But it turned out I had been fed a pack of lies. It’s very hurtful and sinister."
The star revealed how the initial contact between the pair had been made, stating that she had been contacted by Emily's sister "Mia" on Facebook a week after the devastating attacks.
In the Facebook message sent to the singer, the sister said Emily was "having surgery tomorrow to amputate her right leg. She's in a stable but critical condition", and that "A phone call would brighten up her mood. Especially on the long road she has ahead."
